Studio K Broadcasting code
1. Presenters must be prepared for each program
2. Presenters must have program content and music selections approved by a teacher
3. Only legally purchased music can be played on air
4. Presenters must not broadcast content that would be considered racist, sexist, inappropriate, offensive, slanderous/libelous or illegal.
5. Presenters must use all equipment correctly and safely
6. Presenters must leave the studio clean and tidy after each shift
7. Programs must start and finish on time
8. Only students who are involved in a broadcast should be in the studio when programs are in progress
9. Presenters must not broadcast comments that could be interpreted as bullying, teasing or harassing to another student.
10. No food or drink in the studio
11. Where possible, programs should contain news, information or comment that is educational in nature
12. Presenters must reference their information sources on air
13. Presenters must not recommend products, advertise businesses or events without the permission of the Principal
14. Presenters may express and opinion on air, however they should make it clear that these are their personal opinions and not those of the school
15. When conducting interviews with non school personnel, presenters must act professionally and ethically - representing our school with honour
